        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  University  of  Illinois  Springfield  will  hold  its  54th  annual  commencement  during  three  ceremonies  in  the  UIS  Performing  Arts  Center’s  Sangamon  Auditorium  on  Friday,  May  9  and  Saturday,  May  10.  A  total  of  1,071  students  will  participate  in  the  ceremony  out  of  the  1,587  students  who  are  eligible  to  graduate.</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  UIS  baseball  team  faced  Southwest  Baptist  on  the  road,  starting  with  a  Friday  night  doubleheader  in  Bolivar,  Mo.,  with  the  first  game  beginning  at  6:15  p.m.  and  the  second  at  9:30  p.m.  due  to  a  rain  delay.</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  Illinois  Springfield  women's  tennis  team  closed  out  the  regular  season  with  a  pair  of  close  losses  to  tough  GLVC  opponents  over  the  weekend.  The  Prairie  Stars  finished  the  season  with  a  1-11  overall  record  and  a  1-4  mark  in  conference  play.

Prior  to  the  match  on  Saturday,  the  team  honored  its  seniors  —  Carmen  Llopis  Fabra,  Kamila  Kalinowska,  and  Piper  Schrepferman  —  with  a  pre-match  recognition  ceremony.</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  Illinois  Springfield  men's  tennis  team  dropped  its  final  two  matches  of  the  regular  season,  falling  to  No.  17  Indianapolis  and  McKendree  at  home.  The  Prairie  Stars  finished  the  year  with  an  0-12  overall  record  and  0-5  mark  in  GLVC  play.</div>
