Josslyn Gaona led the Illinois Springfield women's track and field team with a first-place finish in the 800-meter race at the Big Blue Alumni Invite, hosted by Millikin University. UIS Baseball Opens Series with Dominant Wins Over Lincoln
The UIS baseball team secured two convincing victories over the Lincoln Blue Tigers on Friday, winning 24-8 in a run-rule shortened seven-inning game and 13-6 in the second contest, which was scheduled for seven innings. UIS improved to 14-10 overall and 8-5 in GLVC play, while Lincoln fell to 2-24 overall and 0-10 in the conference.
