The UIS Police Department would like to inform you about an upcoming Drone Training Course being hosted by our department. This course is part of our continuing efforts to enhance preparedness through the responsible use of emerging technologies.
Training Details:
- Indoor Training Location: VPA (Visual and Performing Arts) Building
- Outdoor Training Location: YMCA Soccer Fields (This may also include C-north and the grassy area to the north)
- Training Dates: June 5-6, 2025
- Training Times: 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Please note that during this training, you may observe drones in flight over the designated areas. All operations will be conducted safely and in compliance with FAA regulations.
