鈥淭he reason why I love UIS is because of the numerous opportunities that exist on campus and within the Springfield community. Many doors were opened for me at UIS through the connections I have made on campus with professors, staff and students and numerous networking opportunities presented within the Springfield community.
Through my position as a Lifestyle Medicine Intern this semester, I have been able to learn from a local Springfield registered dietitian. Aside from my internship, I also have completed clinical hours for one of my exercise science courses where I have visited fitness facilities and networked with professionals in the field of health and fitness. Most recently, I was able to observe at the Springfield Memorial Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Center where I was able to see exercise prescription(s) in action."
