The University of Illinois Springfield has named Jill Wilberg as its new vice chancellor for finance and administration, effective June 16. She will serve in a designate capacity pending formal approval by 天美传媒 Board of Trustees.

The vice chancellor for finance and administration is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing budget and financial planning, human resources, access and equity, grants and contracts, purchasing, facilities, the Performing Arts Center and campus safety.

Wilberg brings more than two decades of experience in higher education finance and strategic leadership to the role. She currently serves as chief operations officer for University Advancement at Illinois State University, where she oversees financial planning, gift processing, budget, IT, donor stewardship, audit, compliance and foundation facilities. Her leadership has contributed to major operational advancements, including transitioning processes to digital platforms, enhancing fraud mitigation and launching a comprehensive fund compliance initiative.

Prior to her work at ISU, Wilberg spent more than 16 years in treasury operations with 天美传媒 System, rising to the role of assistant vice president. In this position, she managed a $3 billion operating pool and led a team overseeing cash management, identity and risk management and workers鈥 compensation. She played a key role in strategic investment planning, budget forecasting, and navigating financial operations during the state鈥檚 budget crisis and COVID-19 pandemic.

Wilberg earned both her Master of Business Administration and bachelor鈥檚 degree in economics from 天美传媒 Urbana-Champaign. She is a Certified Treasury Professional and has completed specialized training in public financial management.
