2025 End of Academic Year Party

Human Resources is excited to announce the theme for the 2025 End of Academic Year Party will be Travel the World!  Please join us as we celebrate the end of another academic year at UIS with music, food, and fun with our campus community.  This year鈥檚 event will be held on the Student Union Patio on May 12, 2025, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Don't miss out!

Take Your Child to Work Day

Human Resources presents the third annual Take Your Child to Work Day on April 24, 2025. We have a fun-filled day planned that includes a dorm tour, a slime activity, and a tour of the E-Sports Arena. We welcome up to 20 kids, aged 10-15 years old (7-9 years old with a parent present), to come and join us for the afternoon.

Open Studio Session - March 26

The Office of Strategic Communications will host an聽Open聽Photo聽Studio聽session for Spring 2025 for all staff or faculty from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 26. The photos can be used for university purposes such as department websites, campus directories, speaking engagements at conferences, etc. Any staff or faculty member who either hasn鈥檛 had their portrait taken or would like another, more recent, portrait taken is encouraged to attend.聽

Chancellor鈥檚 Thinkers Series - A Call to Think: On Common Ground

Please save the date for our next Chancellor鈥檚 Thinkers Series - A Call To Think: On Common Ground.  Chancellor Gooch will be joined by Matt Van Vossen and Ryan Melchin, Class of 2011 UIS Graduates. Matt and Ryan will discuss how they navigated diverse leadership roles on campus, including leading the college democrats and republicans while sharing a dorm room. Matt and Ryan exemplify respect for differences and the power of finding common ground.
