Nathan Oba-Okusanya of Radlett, England, a 2022 graduate of Haberdashers Askes Boys School, has been admitted to ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Springfield for Fall Semester 2022 and awarded a $24,000 Lincoln Merit Scholarship for tuition over four years. At UIS, he will major in exercise science and play on the UIS men’s soccer team.

The scholarship is awarded based on high school GPA and can be renewed for a total of four years if the student maintains college GPA requirements.

He played football (U.S. soccer) at Haberdashers Askes Boys School.

Umar Sodiq of Ojo, Nigeria, a 2017 graduate of Al-Kawthar Model College, has been admitted to the University of Illinois Springfield for Fall Semester 2022 and awarded a $4,000 Lincoln Merit Scholarship for tuition over four years. At UIS, he plans to major in computer science.

The scholarship is awarded based on high school GPA and can be renewed for a total of four years if the student maintains college GPA requirements.

At Al-Kawthar Model College, he played football (soccer) and table tennis.

Gillian Harris of Hartsburg, a recent graduate of Hartsburg-Emden Jr-Sr High School, has been admitted to ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Springfield for Fall Semester 2022 and awarded a $14,000 Lincoln Merit Scholarship for tuition over two years. At UIS, she will major in pre-nursing.

The scholarship is awarded based on high school GPA and can be renewed for a total of two years if the student maintains college GPA requirements.

At Hartsburg-Emden Jr-Sr High School, she was a member of the Senior Beta Club.

Catherine Anderson of McHenry, a senior at McHenry High School, has been admitted to the University of Illinois Springfield for Fall Semester 2022 and awarded a $4,000 Lincoln Merit Scholarship for tuition over four years. At UIS, she will major in communication.

The scholarship is awarded based on high school GPA and can be renewed for a total of four years if the student maintains college GPA requirements.

At McHenry High School, she is a member of the Key Club.

Skyler Leichsenring of Springfield, a senior at Rochester High School, has been admitted to the University of Illinois Springfield for Fall Semester 2022 and awarded a $16,000 Lincoln Merit Scholarship for tuition over four years. At UIS, she will major in exercise science.

The scholarship is awarded based on high school GPA and can be renewed for a total of four years if the student maintains college GPA requirements.

At Rochester High School, she was a part of the track and cross county teams.

Phillip (Matthew) Machino of Woodson, a senior at Jacksonville High School, has been admitted to ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Springfield for Fall Semester 2022 and awarded a $32,000 Capital Scholars Honors Program scholarship and a $40,000 Camerata Music Scholarship totaling $72,000 over four years. The scholarships are renewed annually if the student maintains GPA and other requirements.

At UIS, Machino plans to major in business administration with a concentration in economics and a minor in music.

Grace Kadyk of Sherman, a senior at Williamsville High School, has been admitted to the University of Illinois Springfield for Fall Semester 2022 and awarded a $14,000 Lincoln Merit Scholarship for tuition over two years. At UIS, she will major in pre-nursing.

The scholarship is awarded based on high school GPA and can be renewed for a total of two years if the student maintains college GPA requirements.

At Williamsville High School, she is involved in vocal jazz, madrigals and choir.

Loki Davis of Springfield, a 2021 graduate of Lanphier High School, has been admitted to the University of Illinois Springfield for Fall Semester 2022 and awarded a $16,000 Lincoln Merit Scholarship for tuition over four years. At UIS, she will major in psychology.

The scholarship is awarded based on high school GPA and can be renewed for a total of four years if the student maintains college GPA requirements.

At Lanphier High School, she was a member of the drama club, paranormal club and the National Honor Society.

Gbadeoluwa Adedigba of Shaki, Nigeria, a 2020 graduate of Sharon Rose College, has been admitted to the University of Illinois Springfield for Fall Semester 2022 and awarded a $36,000 Capital Scholars Honors Program Scholarship for tuition over four years. At UIS, he will major in biology.

The scholarship is awarded based on high school GPA and can be renewed for a total of four years if the student maintains college GPA requirements.

At Sharon Rose College, he was involved in running, poetry, health club and jets club.

Breauna Spencer of Taylorville, a senior at Taylorville High School, has been admitted to ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Springfield for Fall Semester 2022 and awarded a $36,000 Capital Scholars Honors Program scholarship. She plans to major in biology at UIS.

The scholarship can be renewed for a total of four years if the student maintains college GPA requirements.

At Taylorville High School, she is a member of the National Honor Society, dance team, band, concert choir, madrigals and is a part of the school musical.
