UIS Student Technology, Arts & Research Symposium to highlight research, creativity and innovation
WHAT: The University of Illinois Springfield presents the 13th annual Student Technology, Arts & Research Symposium (STARS). The two-day event showcases student research and creative activities during the academic year. Events are free and open to the public, except for the theatre performance for which tickets must be purchased.

Andrew Stokes honored with the UIS Outstanding Master鈥檚 Thesis Award
Andrew Stokes, a 2022 University of Illinois Springfield master鈥檚 in environmental studies graduate, was honored on April 14, 2023, in the Student Union Ballroom with the Outstanding Master鈥檚 Thesis Award for the 2021-2022 academic year. He appeared virtually.
Stokes thesis, 鈥淧opulation Visibility Analysis of Two Hacked Osprey Populations in Central Illinois,鈥� was mentored by Tih-Fen Ting, UIS associate professor of environmental studies.
