Springfield鈥檚 class of 2020 was honored Saturday afternoon in two separate commencement exercises, deferred because of the pandemic.
UIS Chancellor Emerita, Susan Koch, conferred diploma covers to approximately 150 graduates. COVID protocols were in place for both ceremonies held at the UIS Sangamon Auditorium.

The University of Illinois Springfield will honor the Class of 2020 during two special commencement ceremonies on Saturday afternoon.
Officials said this will be an opportunity for 2020 graduates to walk across the stage in their cap and gown and have their names read in front of up to eight guests. The ceremonies will be held at 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. at the UIS Sangamon Auditorium, which is inside the Public Affairs Center Building on Ernest Hemingway Drive.

A total of 1,030 students earned degrees from the University of Illinois Springfield at the conclusion of the spring semester on May 15, 2021, pending completion of university requirements.

The University of Illinois Springfield held 50th Commencement activities May 13-15, 2021. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, graduates were given a chance to participate in an optional in-person 鈥渟tage experience" on the stage of Sangamon Auditorium May 13 & 14. In addition, UIS released honoring the Class of 2021 on Saturday, May 15 on the UIS website and Facebook page.

The University of Illinois Springfield will hold two commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 11, 2019, at the Bank of Springfield (BOS) Center, Ninth and Adams Streets in downtown Springfield. Of the 1,274 天美传媒s eligible to graduate, 744 will participate in the ceremonies.
More than 970 students earned degrees from 天美传媒 Springfield during Summer Semester 2019, Fall Semester of 2019 and Spring Semester 2020.
Commencement ceremonies were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
