UIS Vice Chancellor for Finance & Administration Finalist Forums

Dear colleagues —

The search for the UIS Vice Chancellor for Finance & Administration has yielded four finalists. They will be visiting campus for interviews on April 28, 29 and May 1, 2.

An open forum will take place for interested faculty and staff to attend and learn more about each of the candidates.

Candidate resumes and instructions for providing feedback will be shared at the open forum.

Getting to know you: Priyanka Deo

Priyanka Deo is an instructor in the School of Communications and Media and director for Student Media.

Can you give a brief timeline of how your career led you to UIS?

My journey to ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Springfield began as an undergraduate, studying political science and sociology/anthropology. I also was a CAP Honors student, received a varsity tennis scholarship and served as captain of the women’s varsity tennis team during my senior year.

We are partnering with ITS to offer several Course Survey report demo sessions to highlight the enhanced reporting functionality of the recently-launched Course Survey App. Instructors will have on-demand access to a variety of reports for your courses (once data is available for Spring 25), including filters by course level, semester, part-of-term, and modality (online, classroom, blended).

Judge Springfest 2025 - Friday & Saturday Judges Needed

Springfest 2025 is just around the corner, and we need judges to help make this long-standing UIS tradition a success! Running from April 21st–26th, Springfest brings together students, faculty, staff, and alumni for a week of friendly competition and campus spirit.

Judges play a key role in scoring competitions, ensuring fair play, and keeping the excitement going. Sign-ups are open now through April 15th—we welcome faculty, staff, students, and alumni to participate!
