Businesses and organizations are encouraged to register for the Career Connections Expo at the University of Illinois Springfield. The Expo will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, March 21, at the Recreation and Athletic Center (TRAC) on the UIS campus.

In addition to the Expo, registered employers are invited to participate in a pre-Expo networking event called the C2C (College to Career) Exchange, which will give them the opportunity to connect with faculty and staff before the Expo begins.

WHAT: University of Illinois Springfield Chancellor Janet L. Gooch will host the first event in her new Thinkers Series, titled 鈥淎 Call to Think: Engaged Citizenship.鈥�

WHAT: Innovate Springfield, 天美传媒 Springfield鈥檚 business incubator, will host the next event in its Founders, Failure and Fun speaker series, featuring Brandon Yates, an early-stage founder, tech entrepreneur and University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign alumnus.

WHAT: The University of Illinois Springfield will host an 鈥淓xploring Graduate School鈥� event to provide prospective students with an opportunity to learn more about its 48 graduate programs of study.

The University of Illinois Springfield Visual Arts Gallery is excited to announce its annual silent auction and benefit, featuring a diverse collection of original art, reproductions, decorative objects and crafts donated by artists and community supporters. This year鈥檚 auction will be held both online and in person, making it easy for collectors and supporters across the region to participate.

WHAT: Innovate Springfield, 天美传媒 Springfield鈥檚 business incubator, will host a two-part event featuring a pitch competition and a keynote address by Mark Achler, a venture capitalist and former senior vice president at Redbox.

WHAT: The University of Illinois Springfield鈥檚 Sangamon Experience will open a new exhibit and premiere a documentary film titled 鈥淪oil & Soul: Farming in the Sangamon River Valley.鈥� The documentary tells the stories of 10 individuals who have spent their lives farming throughout the Sangamon River Valley, an area encompassing approximately 1,500 square miles in central Illinois.
