The University of Illinois Springfield Visual Arts Gallery is pleased to present 鈥淎UTOBIOGRAPHY OF A BROWN BUFFALO II,鈥 an exhibition by St. Louis-based artist Jos茅 Guadalupe Garza. This exhibition will open on Thursday, Sept. 23, and will run through Thursday, Oct. 14. A reception will be held from 5:30 鈥 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 30 in the gallery.

UIS鈥 popular Friday Night Star Parties to be held in a virtual format starting Sept. 10

The University of Illinois Springfield鈥檚 popular Friday Night Star Parties will be held in a virtual format this fall due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Participants can watch the virtual star parties on Zoom from 8-9 p.m. on Sept. 10, 17, and 24 and Oct. 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29. The Zoom link will be posted at uis.edu/astronomy/about/starparties/.
