Adults (18+): $15
Children (5-17): $5
Children (4 and under): Free
Students attend for free, but registration is required for children.

Welcome to the exciting journey as a Prairie Star at UIS! We are thrilled that you have chosen our University! Our Orientation programs are designed to help you and your parents/family members on board as you embark on this new chapter in your life.

All first-time, first-year undergraduates and first-year undergraduate transfer students (bringing in less than 24 credit hours) are required to complete a hybrid Orientation, consisting of three parts:

Online Orientation
In-Person, One-day Orientation Session (or Virtual-synchronous, two-day, Orientation for International Students), and
First-Year New Student Welcome, In-person.

Students can register for the session from their UIS Application Status page.

This In-person Orientation program is for undergraduate First-Year (Freshmen/women) and Freshmen/women Transfer Students admitted to the Summer and Fall 2024 semesters. It is the second, of a 3 part series of programs for students entering their first-year or transferring with less than 24 credit hours.
