Prairie Stars Announce 2025 Homecoming Dates
The University of Illinois Springfield is excited to announce that Homecoming Week 2025 will take place September 14–20, featuring a full slate of events for students, alumni, and Prairie Stars fans.
UIS women's and men's soccer teams will host William Jewell College in conference matchups on Friday, September 19, with kickoff times set for 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
The UIS volleyball team will also be in action that weekend, hosting a home tournament at TRAC. One of Saturday's matches will be designated as the official Homecoming game.
UIS Women’s Track & Field to Compete at GLVC Outdoor Championships
The UIS women's track and field team will compete in the 2025 Great Lakes Valley Conference Outdoor Championships this week, hosted by Lewis in Romeoville, Ill. The three-day event will take place Thursday through Saturday, May 1–3.

UIS will be represented in a variety of distance and middle-distance events throughout the meet, beginning with the 1,500-meter preliminaries on Thursday. A mix of returners and fresh faces will take the track in Lillian Buzani, Marissa Roggensack, and Josslyn Gaona.
UIS Men’s Track and Field Heads to GLVC Outdoor Championships
The UIS men's track and field team is set to compete at the 2025 Great Lakes Valley Conference Outdoor Championships this week. The event, hosted by Lewis this year, will take place Thursday through Saturday, May 1–3, in Romeoville, Ill.

UIS Softball Picks Up Big GLVC Tournament Win Over McKendree
The Illinois Springfield softball team opened the GLVC Tournament with a strong statement, taking down No. 4 seed McKendree 7-2 on Wednesday afternoon at the EastSide Centre. The win marked the Prairie Stars' first conference tournament victory since 2019 and improved their record to 30-18 on the season.
