JB Pritzker for the 2026 fiscal year demonstrates continued support for and belief in the power of public higher education, U of I System President Tim Killeen said Monday. The new budget was approved by the General Assembly on Sunday and Pritzker has said he will sign it. |

6.2.25 Happy June, everyone 鈥� Summer classes began this week, and much is happening on campus as we prepare to welcome students in the fall. The lower level of the Public Affairs Center will be closed for plumbing renovations, construction on the new Library Commons is set to begin, and work to improve campus-wide Wi-Fi is ongoing.
