The UIS and Rockhurst baseball teams closed out their four-game series on Friday with a doubleheader split. Rockhurst took the first game 12-5, but UIS bounced back in the second game with a dramatic 9-6 win, highlighted by a walk-off three-run homer from Noah Caceres.

The Illinois Springfield softball team celebrated Senior Day in style on Saturday with a dominant doubleheader sweep over William Jewell. The Prairie Stars earned a pair of five-inning shutout victories, winning game one 8-0 and game two 11-0 at the UIS Softball Field. With the wins, UIS improves to 27-16 overall and 15-9 in GLVC play, remaining tied for fourth in the conference standings with McKendree. Rosie Bartletti picked up the win in both games, moving to 17-7 on the season, the second-most wins of any pitcher in the GLVC.

Maddie Miller set a new UIS school record in the outdoor 5,000-meter run on Thursday at the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, California. Miller ran a personal-best time of 16:27.78, placing 8th out of 24 runners in Heat 1. With the performance, Miller now holds the UIS records in the indoor 3K and 5K, as well as the outdoor 5K and 10K—solidifying her place at the top of the program's all-time distance leaderboard.

Isaac Cortes recorded a personal-best performance in the men's 5,000-meter run on Thursday morning at the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, Cal. Competing in Heat 4 of the event, Cortes placed fifth out of 24 runners with a time of 14:27.56, shaving five seconds off his previous best.
