WHAT: The University of Illinois Springfield (UIS) and Lincoln Land Community College (LLCC) are excited to announce the 2021 Virtual Career Connections Expo. Students and alumni from the hosting institutions as well as community members are invited to attend the free online event to explore career opportunities and network with participating employers.

The exhibition will open on Monday, March 8, and will run through Thursday, April 15. There will be no public reception for this exhibition.

Kodi Smith of Taylorville has been selected as the University of Illinois Springfield student recipient of the Student Laureate Award from the Lincoln Academy of Illinois. Only one 天美传媒 is honored with the prestigious award each academic year.

University of Illinois Springfield Political Science Professor Richard Gilman-Opalsky has written a new book on 鈥淭he Communism of Love: An Inquiry into the Poverty of Exchange Value.鈥�

University of Illinois Springfield junior guard Lauren Ladowski was named Great Lakes Valley Conference women's basketball player of the week for the first time in her career on Monday.

Ladowski, a 5-foot-7 Lake Central High School graduate from St. John, Indiana, became the school's all-time leader in made free throws against Rockhurst and eclipsed the 1,000-point career milestone against Southwest Baptist.
