Prairie Stars pitcher聽Mark DeCicco聽has been named the聽Jimmy John's Athlete of the Month for May, following a pair of standout performances that capped off a strong season on the mound for the junior right-hander.
DeCicco delivered two strong starts in May, including a dominant outing against Quincy in the聽GLVC Tournament, where he tossed a聽complete-game, nine-inning shutout聽to keep UIS in the winner's bracket. The performance earned DeCicco a spot on the聽GLVC All-Tournament Team聽and marked his聽fourth complete game of the season.聽

UIS Public Affairs Center Infrastructure Renovation Project Updates

As part of the necessary plumbing infrastructure renovation project that has begun this summer in the Public Affairs Center, Facilities & Services is working in collaboration with multiple campus partners to ensure a smooth transition process in operations. From June 2025 to September 2026, several units currently located in the PAC will temporarily pause or relocate their operations to other campus spaces due to the drilling and pipe excavation activities. |
